BAG ENGINE — Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 8, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes Our policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of Your information when You use the BAG ENGINE pod and application (the "Service"). Company refers to Engine Room VR, Tulsa, Oklahoma, United States. We collect only what the Service needs to work, we do not sell personal information, and we do not show advertising.

In short. BAG ENGINE stores your email address, the pods you set up, and your workout data (punch counts, timing and force, and round times) so your history follows you from phone to phone. The app talks to your pod over your home Wi-Fi. There is no camera, no microphone, no location tracking, and no advertising.

What We Collect

Account information. Your email address and a password (stored only as a one-way hash by our sign-in provider). A display name, if you choose to enter one.

Pod information. The hardware identifier of each pod you set up, the name you give it, its firmware version, battery level and the bag type you choose. This ties each pod to your account so only you can see its data.

Workout data. For each workout: punch counts, the timing of punches, the measured force of each punch, round start and end times, and the totals the app shows you (such as punches per minute and best force). A short share card of a workout is created only when you choose to share it.

Local network use. To show punches as they land, the app connects directly to your pod over your home Wi-Fi network, and during first-time setup it connects to the pod's own temporary setup network. The pod stores the Wi-Fi network name and password you give it during setup on the pod itself, so it can join your network. The app does not collect or store information about your network or other devices on it.

Diagnostics. If the app crashes, a crash report (device model, operating system version, app version and the technical details of the crash) may be sent to our app tooling provider so we can fix it. No workout content is included.

What We do not collect. No camera or face data, no microphone audio, no location, no contacts, no advertising identifiers, and no tracking across other companies' apps or websites.

How We Use It

Who We Share It With

We share personal information only with the service providers that run the Service for Us, and only for that purpose: Google Firebase (sign-in, database and hosting, servers in the United States) and Expo (app updates and crash reports). The Apple App Store and Google Play handle app downloads under their own policies. We may also disclose information if required by law. We do not sell personal information and do not share it with advertisers.

Retention and Deletion

Your account, pods and workout history are kept until you delete them. You can delete individual workouts, remove a pod, or delete your whole account from the app's Settings screen; deleting the account removes your account record, your pods and your workout history from our systems within 30 days, apart from backups that expire on their own schedule. You can also ask Us to delete your account by email at the address below. Resetting a pod (holding its button for five seconds) clears the Wi-Fi details stored on the pod.

Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact Us and We will delete it.

Security

Data travels between the app, the pod and our servers over encrypted connections where the platform allows it, and is stored with our providers' standard protections. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; We use commercially acceptable means but cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices

You can see and change your account details and your pods in the app at any time. You can export your workout history by asking Us by email. If you are in a region with specific privacy rights (for example the EU, the UK or California), you can exercise them by contacting Us; We do not sell or share personal information for advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of.

Changes

We may update this Policy and will post changes on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. If a change affects how your data is used, the app will tell you the next time you open it.
